Brugge / Bruges

Visiting this city was most definitely worthwhile! We explored Belfort; took the stairs right to the top and enjoyed the amazing view of the mediëval city center. The rich history of this city's local, national and International trade is visible throughout the entire center. We visites Burg Square next, went for a drink and some lunch in a beautiful retro café and visited the historium and torture museum. The historium is unlike any museum I've been to before; wonderfully interactive and scenes set out beautifully as though you've gone back in time.
Later that day we had dinner in an amazing restaurant called Bistro Zwart Huis. One of the coolest restaurants I've been to in a long time! The building is superb; loads of history! It's run by alternative, tattooed men with long hair who have a true passion for managing a unique music bar with great food. The owner visits each table personally to have a chat. A truly wonderful experience! Afterwards, of course, the Irish pub had to be visited! Haha! An amazing day!!
