From the 29th of December until the 7th of January we went for a ski trip in Piesendorf, Austria. Its a small village virtually adjacent Kaprun and Zell am See. The countryside is beautiful beyond compare. Sky-high white peaks, trees covered in snow, authentic Austrian cottages roof topped with pure white snow, gorgeous blue/green coloured icy lakes and ravines. We skied around Maiskogel Kaprun, Zell am See, Areitbahn and a small slope in a tiny village close by. New Year's Eve was spent playing board games and table football, baking traditionally Dutch Oliebollen and appelbeignets, watching a bit of Toon Hermans, celebrating New Years with the family and lighting stunning fire works! On the 3rd of January we travelled to Kitzbuhel; a lovely city about an hour drive away. Nicely busy with lots of winter sports fanatics and wonderful cozy restaurants, cafes and bars to have a good time! We of course visited the wonderful town of Zell am See on several occasions. One of the best ski trips ever!!
